輥道是利用圓筒式的輥子之轉(zhuǎn)動來輸送軋件的運輸設(shè)備。它把軋制生產(chǎn)過程的各個工序互相聯(lián)結(jié)起來。實現(xiàn)操作機械化，大大改善勞動條件，提高生產(chǎn)效率，為實現(xiàn)自動化操作提供條件。

輥道的傳動形式有集體傳動，單獨傳動和空轉(zhuǎn)輥道三種。

①集體傳動輥道——由一臺電動機同時帶動所有的或其中一部分輥子。通常是4~10根輥子。

②單獨傳動輥道——每個輥子或每兩個輥子由一個單獨電動機帶動。

對于大型軋機來說，尤其是熱軋機必須用動力傳動輥道。多的還是集體傳動式，特別是長度不大而軋件斷面很大時，適宜用集體傳動。單獨傳動輥道通常用于長距離的軋件的傳送。
